Sponsor a Biosand Filter Student

CAWST is pleased to announce a new initiative with a goal of teaching locals how to build their own biosand filters, bringing clean water and better health to communities world wide.

  • Full Project Summary

By teaching someone how to build a filter, CAWST helps local people take action in their community, reaching hundreds of homes with safe, clean drinking water!
A technology invented in Calgary, Alberta called the biosand filter has helped millions of people worldwide gain access to safe drinking water. It is a simple, affordable water filter for people to use in their homes and can be made anywhere in the world.
Please help CAWST create water for generations by sponsoring a student to learn how to build biosand filters for their community.”

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
