Life Jackets For Kabale School Kids

School children living around Lake Bunyonyi in the new Rubanda district, south western Uganda have to contend with a lot more in their quest for education. Besides the chilly early mornings, the learners have to take a not-so safe boat ride across the lake to school. NTV’s Andrew Arinaitwe visited Bwama Primary School.

The pupils of Bwama Primary school, which is located in the middle of Lake Bunyonyi in Kabale district, have a reason to smile after an initial consignment of life jackets was donated to the school.
The life jackets are expected to go some way in protecting the children who have to take a perilous canoe ride across Africa’s second deepest lake as they travel to and from school everyday, usually under harsh weather conditions.

  • How to create projects

Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.

New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.

  • What is Trickster Theatre

Trickster Theatre hosts weeklong residencies in Alberta schools. We help create an original show with up to 500 actors - on any theme. We provide the lights, curtains, sounds, costumes, and more!

Fore more information, please visit the Trickster Theatre website.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
