Leadership Moments Over the Past 150 Years
Daysland School provides a full educational program for approximately 240 children from kindergarten through to grade 12.
In the next school year, our students at Daysland School and Trickster Theatre will work together for one week on our performance “Leadership Moments Over the Past 150 Years”.
We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to sharing our finished work with you!

Full Project Summary
Daysland School will explore leaders in Canadian history, studying how they have impacted our lives today and how as a community we can use these leadership qualities as a template to develop and inspire our youth to become leaders of tomorrow. These leaders will include First Nations and Metis leaders, politicians, sports leaders, social movement leaders and cultural icons.
We will be connecting with resources like the Edmonton Historical Society, and the Provincial Archives of Alberta, in addition to speaking with local community members to find the leaders among us.

Project Outcome
The main reason Daysland School has chosen Trickster Theatre is that we were impressed with the ability to create an original production with the entire school population. We look forward to the creation of the video essays for Trickster’s ‘Our Many Faces’ project, and to being able to share our end product on the Kids Go Global platform. This will give our students a chance to showcase their thoughts and what they have learned and give them a sense of pride in their accomplishments.

How to create projects
Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.
New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.
