Kits for Kids

“Kits for Kids” wants every child to feel special for their birthday. We are creating 200 birthday party kits for children of all ages to bring a smile to their face when that special day arrives.

  • Full Project Summary

Students have learned a lot about what it means to “start something” and they are collaborating well on a very interesting campaign that grew from a single idea. They agreed that the first 12 years of a child’s life are very important. They also focused on human rights and believe that the rights of a child should be to feel loved, valued and cared for by others. Their intention is to ensure that more Calgary families are able to provide a special day for their children.

  • Project Outcome

We plan to connect with and learn more about the social and economic problems facing our city. We are helping the city's underprivileged children and in some small way, making them feel a little brighter.

  • How to create projects

Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.

New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.

  • What is Trickster Theatre

Trickster Theatre hosts weeklong residencies in Alberta schools. We help create an original show with up to 500 actors - on any theme. We provide the lights, curtains, sounds, costumes, and more!

Fore more information, please visit the Trickster Theatre website.

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
