Forty Years: Celebrate, Innovate, and Create
Rideau Park School is in Southwest Edmonton, serving 267 students from K-6 in English and German. As we embark on our 40th year as a school community, we are “Celebrating the Past, Dreaming Big for the Future”.
Our students, teachers, and staff are very excited to work with Trickster Theatre in the 2017-18 school year to put on our show on Forty Years: Celebrate, Innovate, and Create.
We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to sharing our finished work with you!

Full Project Summary
Rideau Park School’s residency is “Forty Years: Celebrate, Innovate and Create” to celebrate our 40th year as a school. Working together as a school community, we will create an original ninety minute performance that clearly demonstrates this theme, showcasing the school and community’s past. We will celebrate the next forty years of learning at Rideau Park School, by inviting former students and teachers to share their experiences and join us in our final performance as a part of our anniversary celebrations.
We hope to find musicians, storytellers and memory holders to draw on and include in the celebration. Looking forward, students will dream about ways that they can become contributing members of a global community, starting with their local community.

Project Outcome
Looking at “Forty Years: Celebrate, Innovate and Create” while focusing on the history of our school, community, and city will give students an appreciation for their heritage. They will appreciate the development of their community, and be encouraged to contribute to making our community an ever-better place.

How to create projects
Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.
New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.
