Eau Claire Market – 200 Barclay Parade SW
For the 14th year in a row, Amble with Angus 5K run is open to runners of all abilities in support of the Calgary Food Bank’s Children’s Milk Program. Runners sign up, collect donations and sponsorships, then run of the 5K from Eau Claire around the Bow River pathways. Registration is only $20 per person and each dollar is a direct donation to the Food Bank. A few kilometres and a few dollars go a long way!Since their conception, Angus runs have raised $300,000 for the Calgary Food Bank. Let’s make 2015 the best year ever!

Project Outcome
The 14th annual Amble with Angus fun run and walk had it’s biggest year ever with over 500 participants (pups not included)! It’s hard to believe that just 14 years ago, only 15 people ran around the Bow River in support of the Calgary Food Bank. The run has grown exponentially since. This year, over $30,000 was raised for Calgarians in need. And honestly, we couldn’t have asked for better weather, better runners or better prizes (including tablets, Fitbits, running shoes and gift certificates galore). Thank you so much to Devon Energy and CBC Calgary (our sponsors) and all the runners and walkers who came out bright and early on a chilly December morning to support of all things community!
