All Hands Stronger Together
Ramsay School is housed in an amazing Heritage sandstone building built in 1912 in the historic community of Ramsay located in Calgary, Alberta. It is conveniently located close to downtown and is also within close proximity to the Inglewood Swimming Pool, Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Bow River, Bow Habitat Station (Fish Hatchery), The Calgary Exhibition and Stampede Grounds, Fort Calgary and the Calgary Zoo. This inner city location provides many unique learning opportunities for a very complex population of students. Our school shares many of its learning spaces with the Janus Academy, a program designed to meet the unique educational needs of school-aged children with autism, and with Calgary Catholic Immigration Services, Before and After School Care Program, without which our families would struggle to keep their employment.
Our students, teachers, and staff are very excited to work with Trickster Theatre in the 2017-18 school year to put on our show on All Hands Stronger Together.
We greatly appreciate your help and look forward to sharing our finished work with you!

Full Project Summary
Ramsay School’s weeklong residency project will be All Hands-Stronger Together. Exploring culture/diversity and community allows students to examine shared values and their own sense of belonging, beliefs, traditions and languages. We believe that this promotes students’ development of citizenship and identity and an understanding of multiple perspectives, issues and change.
Our 2017-18 question of inquiry was developed collaboratively as students, staff and parents reflected on where we have been and where we want to go next in our learning.

Project Outcome
Together with Trickster Theatre, we will create an original show that involve the entire school community including students, staff and any parents who wish to be involved. Once ready for performance, the entire community will be invited to share our learning journey with us. Not only will the residency compliment the theme and direction of our school year, it will support us in exploring curriculum in exciting and new ways. We chose Trickster because several of our teachers have enjoyed tremendous learning experiences with Trickster at other schools.

How to create projects
Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.
New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.
