ON GIVING TUESDAY, GIVE THE GIFT OF WATER KNOWLEDGE

Posted by Chris on Dec 01, 2015

Tuesday Dec.1st is Giving Tuesday. This kick off to the giving season reminds us that knowledge is a gift particularly when it comes to water and health.

Tuesday, December 1st, is Giving Tuesday, an annual day where charities, companies and individuals join together in their shared commitment important causes and to mark the start of the holiday charitable giving season.

This year, CAWST’s holiday campaign is focused around the Gift of Water Knowledge, highlighting how we and our overseas partners work together to ensure that local communities and organizations are empowered with the knowledge and skills they need to help more people access safe water and sanitation, and to do so sustainably, for the long-term.

Water knowledge is a gift – one that allows people to live healthy, prosperous lives. We asked CAWST’s field staff to send pictures of what they are working on this Giving Tuesday, or were working on recently, to help spread the gift of water knowledge. We received pictures from Nepal, Haiti, Honduras, Nigeria, Ethiopia and Cambodia, and they demonstrate the wide spectrum of work we do with our overseas partners to build local water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) knowledge and skills. Enjoy!
