Finding the Balance Between Two Worlds Conference 2017

Apr 27, 2017 | DEVELOP

After our second "Finding the Balance Between Two Worlds" conference which took place on April 11-12, 2017, we have some impressive and moving video performances to share with the world.

Chief Jacob Bearspaw School’s performance, “Our Home, Our Native Land,” looks at the truth behind Canada’s “150” years.

In “The Mask of Assimilation” by Hugh Sutherland School, students ask tough questions about past choices.

In “Would You Look for Me,” (also by students of Hugh Sutherland School) the issue of missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada are examined.

In “Two Spirit,” we are shown that no matter what your path in life, there is always a place for you.

Finally, “Respect the Land” takes us on one man’s journey as he discovers the consequences of not respecting the environment around us.
