Connaught is participating in this year long project to take action. Before the holidays, we completed our We Act Against Hunger campaign and collected 439 pounds of food for the Calgary Interfaith Foodbank. We are starting on our We Bake project this winter.

  • Full Project Summary

Teaming Up Against Hunger, December 2 - 18. The student council asked all students to bring in one non-perishable food item such canned soups, canned fruit, rice or cereal. We more than doubled our initial target of 200 pounds of food, collecting a total of 439 pounds.

  • How to create projects

Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.

New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.

  • What is Trickster Theatre

Trickster Theatre hosts weeklong residencies in Alberta schools. We help create an original show with up to 500 actors - on any theme. We provide the lights, curtains, sounds, costumes, and more!

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
