Trickster Residency

0%100%

Our school is involved in a week-long Trickster Residency where we explore different issues that impact people from around the world. Water conservation, environmental causes and human rights are three of the main themes we will be exploring, with a whole-school theatrical presentation at the end of the week.

  • Full Project Summary

Global issues will be explored by each class alongside Trickster resident artists. Students will develop creative theatrical presentations that will speak on issues such as Going Green, Water conservation and Human Rights. Students will be thinking about global impact and change right in their own classroom.

  • Project Outcome

We are doing a show with the whole school involved at the end of the week. Students will have explored global issues through creative and educational explorations.

  • How to create projects

Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.

New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.

  • What is Trickster Theatre

Trickster Theatre hosts weeklong residencies in Alberta schools. We help create an original show with up to 500 actors - on any theme. We provide the lights, curtains, sounds, costumes, and more!

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
