On a recent trip to Ethiopia one of our Canadian Humanitarian volunteers taught sewing classes to the children. This allows them to sew their own clothes and make repairs to school uniforms as needed. We are wanting to raise the funds to put a sewing machine in each of our 6 centers. These machines will benefit the students and their families.
Full Project Summary
Each sewing machine will cost approximately $425 Canadian to purchase in Ethiopia. When funds are raised Canadian Humanitarian will purchase the machines there and deliver them to the education centers.
Project OutcomeThe goal of this project is to allow students to develop their newly acquired skills and to become self-sufficient in mending and making clothing as needed.
