Christmas for Habitat

Posted by Heather on Nov 14, 2014

Help McKenzie Towne School give someone a home through Christmas for Habitat. We all have those hard to buy for people on our Christmas lists. We would like to give you the opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity and purchase a gift for that person, big or small, from our MTS Habitat for Humanity Home Catalogue.

You could give your teacher a window for $15 or a door for $50. We will provide you with two paper ornaments showing that you have purchased, one to give to the person and one to hang on our school tree to show your support During our last week before the winter break, students will be caroling in the gym. On their way to the gym each day students will have the opportunity to hang their ornaments on the giving tree. The staff at MTS have requested that if you are thinking of them during this holiday season please purchase something for them in support of Habitat for Humanity. Watch for the catalogue in your child’s communication folder.
One of the most important aspects of Habitat for Humanity’s fundraising is that every penny donated goes directly to the materials that build their Habitat homes. Administration costs including salaries are generated through their Restore.
Our extreme gratitude goes out to every last person who has helped with our initial success. We only hope our ripples move farther and touch those in need.

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
