We have a chosen the theme, ‘Gifts to the World’.  Our Focus Question will be “If I could give a gift to the world, what would it be?”  While searching for the answer to this question, Niton students can research what Niton Junction has already contributed, instilling a sense of pride and joy of accomplishment, as well as a feeling of purpose, a willingness to take the next step forward in their own unique way.

  • Full Project Summary

Thus, the question, “What is Niton Junction’s role in International Aid and Assistance?” can be asked by each student and answered in their own way: individually, in small groups or maybe even in large groups on their digital essays.  Students will be encouraged to engage all interested community members in answering this question, and will document their responses in the resulting digital essays.  A full-scale drama performance, written and performed by the students themselves will be the culminating activity of this project.  Trickster Theatre will provide the organization, guidance and expertise.  Niton Junction’s students, staff and community members will provide the choreography, script, props, staging effects and will perform in the show.  This show will be a dramatic culmination to this project, but will also be a beginning for all projects to come afterwards.  Niton Junction will continue to build on what was started with this and the possibilities are endless!

  • How to create projects

Only a school site admin can set up new projects. Ask you teacher to get help in setting up a project page. Once set up you can write blog articles to support your project.

New Projects can be of many types: an event, a take action project, a study, or a Trickster Residency.

  • What is Trickster Theatre

Trickster Theatre hosts weeklong residencies in Alberta schools. We help create an original show with up to 500 actors - on any theme. We provide the lights, curtains, sounds, costumes, and more!

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
