Why did Trickster Theatre create Kids Go Global?
We always aim to make a real difference.
We wanted to create shows on Global Issues and do it in a way that made a real impact on lives.
So, we created a way to inform students and artists about global issues, and made it possible for schools to connect to NGOs so that they could get invloved in real projects.
What else does Trickster Theatre do?
We perform for about 75,000 people a year.
We have a huge volunteer base - about 7,000 hours per year.
We work in schools and create about 35-40 original shows a year- each with a cast of 60-600 actors. Themes include Kids Go Global, Living History, Leadership, Science, Literary Genres and more. (there are no restrictions).
We also support schools wanting to create a more kinesthetic learning experience, though our Act2Learn website. This site contains lesson plans that show how to act out the science curriculum.
