Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace Educating Canadians on Climate Change

The Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace is committed to climate change. Now they are getting Canadians talking and taking action.

The Canadian Catholic Organization for Development and Peace is mobilizing Canadians to get serious about climate change. Concerned Canadians attended climate vigils across the country this fall to demonstrate how important it is for leaders to take positive action to stop global warming.  Many Canadians have filled out action cards as a way to demand change from our Prime Minister.  They also made personal pledges to change their lifestyle and habits to promote a greener earth.  The efforts come from a campaign by CCODP to help Canadians understand that it’s the poor living in developing countries who are the most vulnerable when it comes to climate change.  The more informed Canadians are, the more pressure our government will feel to honour the commitments they made at the Paris Climate Conference in December.

Kids Go Global - Explore, Act, Inspire.

Kids Go Global is a place for Elementary, Junior and Senior High schools to explore Global Issues and then work alone or with NGOs to take action locally and internationally. It also supports students acting out the issues using theatre and provides opportunities to share student work and projects. It is a partnership between schools, NGOs and Trickster Theatre.
